Wanderers unlucky to lose so badly

Wanderers unlucky as James helps Portsmouth to 3 points

So many times this season have Bolton come away from a match with more than they deserved, but they honestly deserved more than they got from this one. A combination of an outstanding performance from David James, an unbelievable miss from Matt Taylor and a seemingly offside goal managed to win it for Portsmouth.

First away win since April!

Bolton got their first away win since April 2007 and kept a third successive clean sheet as they beat Reading 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium.

Goals from Kevin Nolan and Heidar Helguson earned Bolton a win despite seeing Matt Taylor’s early penalty saved by Marcus Hahnemann.
