Styles apologises for penalty

Rob Styles has apologised to Bolton for wrongly awarding Manchester United a penalty on Saturday, but will not be suspended.

Styles gave the penalty for Jlloyd Samuel’s tackle on Ronaldo (above) but has now admitted his error, however the FA have handed him a Premier League game next weekend.

After yesterday’s dodgy penalty decision at Old Trafford, Gary Megson has called for live video replays to be introduced in football.

Megson: Styles decision “embarrassing”

Gary Megson has slammed Rob Styles’ awful penalty decision, calling it a “complete howler” and basically using it as an excuse for our defeat.

He has made a complete howler. It is a nonsense decision and it didn’t look close on the pitch.

Well we probably would have lost anyway…

Well we didn’t expect to get anything from this game, and in the end we didn’t, and even if Rob Styles wasn’t totally useless we probably would have still lost, but I’m still going to blame him for this defeat.
