An Israel winner against Russia in stoppage time ensured that England will qualify off a single point on Wednesday.
Regardless of Croatia’s result against Macedonia, a draw or a win at Wembley will send England to Austria & Switzerland next Summer.
Croatia have now qualified, and Russia are almost certain to do the same if England lose on Wednesday night.
Scotland’s hopes, however, were ended by a 2-1 defeat to Italy tonight, but I’m sure their fans will be much more proud than ours, even if we do manage to qualify.
