Meet next season’s keeper…

Adam Bogdan

Adam Bogdan, left, is 20 and currently Bolton’s 4th choice goalkeeper - behind Jussi, Al Habsi and Ian Walker.

However, with Jussi out of contract at the end of the season, Ian Walker rumoured to be off and Ali Al-Habsi certainly too good for the Championship, Bogdan is our only remaining option (unless we buy another keeper).

Bogdan has been doing an interview with Hungarian website Nemzeti Sport, and seems to be prepared to remain at the Reebok next season if it means a spot in the first team or even on the bench.

Jussi’s contract expires this summer and Ian Walker may also leave so it can happen that two of us stay at the club for the goalkeeper position - me and Ali Al Habsi.

I don’t know what the future will bring but I want to do my best to take further steps with Bolton.

Bogdan also talked about how he used to practise free kicks and penalties with Nicolas Anelka:

Nicolas Anelka is a silent and introverted person, some say he’s an odd-ball.

But we had a good relationship and he asked me after almost every training session to spend some extra time with him.

He practised free-kicks and penalties, and it was a pleasure for me to train with him.

well, all i hope for is that al habsi stays. though i’ve seen a bolton - liverpool res highlights, and Bogdan was playing, he made some pretty good saves, so i also cant wait to see him.
