An x-ray has revealed than Kevin Davies’ injury sustained on Saturday is worse than previously thought - and a triple fracture in his hand could keep him out for the rest of the season.
It was initially thought that Davies had just dislocated his finger in a challenge with Robert Green, but he has actually fractured three bones in his hand as well as his finger.
Davo was already set to miss the next two games through suspension, but this could see him miss the games against Sunderland and Chelsea as well.
I’ve got three fractures and I had an operation on Tuesday.
Whether I’ve got a chance of getting back for the last two games is doubtful, but hopefully it heals quickly.
I’ll have it rescanned before we play Sunderland at home and maybe I could play with a cast on.
