Iván Campo, Stelios Giannakopoulos and Andranik Teymourian have today been released by Bolton, but Jussi Jääskeläinen and Ricardo Gardner have been offered new contracts.
Campo joined from Real Madrid in 2002 and has made over 150 appearances for the Wanderers, but along with Stelios is generally considered past his best. Andranik, however, has been impressive in the few chances he was given, so I was surprised when he wasn’t offered a new deal at the club.
Ivan, Stelios and Andranik have all done well for Bolton Wanderers and I’d like to express my gratitude to them. It’s time for them to move on and I wish them all the best.

Jussi and Gardner have both been at the Reebok for over ten years and Gary Megson seemed keen to keep them at the club.
Jussi and Ricardo have both been excellent servants and are still very much part of my future plans for this football club. Hopefully, we can get them secured on new deals as soon as possible.
